Intralot to supply BCLC with its retail sports betting technology under a three-year agreement

BCLC has partnered with Intralot to expand its retail sports betting technology across the Canadian province. The three-year agreement will allow Intralot to supply BCLC with its retail sports betting technology. Currently, the Crown provides sports wagering through lottery retailers and its PlayNow digital platform. However, it does not operate sports betting via retail sportsbooks at its 36 casinos and community gaming centres.

Intralot has signed a three-year contract with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) to provide its innovative technology to power the BCLC’s retail sportsbooks. The agreement has the option of three annual extensions. The Crown’s sports wagering will also be made accessible via Intralot’s Bring Your Own Device technology, which allows bettors to obtain a QR code that can be scanned at a terminal. Once integrated, Intralot’s retail sports wagering platform will be available at more than 700 self-service kiosks and 3,400 clerk-ran terminals in B.C… The gaming company is looking forward to producing an enhanced retail player experience and responsibly driving its product growth for the benefit of British Columbia residents.

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has been expanding its online casino catalogue on PlayNow by adding industry-leading titles and debuted Evolution’s hit title Mega Ball last month. Additionally, in April 2023, BCLC reported that it will be integrating ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways into its iGaming portal. Hypernova Megaways is among ReelPlay’s top-performing games along with Atlantis Megaways & Big Bucks Bandit Megaways. The integration was facilitated by Light & Wonder’s OpenGaming ecosystem.
